Your Old Droog – “Unlimited Metrocard”

The once-mysterious Brooklyn rapper Your Old Droog has lost a lot of his mystique now that he’s revealed his identity and people have realized that he’s not Nas rapping under an alter-ego. But he’s made up for it by cranking out a steady supply of new music. In just the past few months, he’s released the Kinison mixtape and the strong one-off “Hidden Persuaders.” And now he’s got a new track called “Unlimited Metrocard,” on which he raps about subway memories over a beat from fellow boom-bap revivalist Statik Selektah. Listen below.
