What To Expect From This Year’s Superbowl Halftime Show

The Superbowl returns to Houston where Janet had her infamous “nip slip”, what to expect this time around?

Will Lady Gaga Outdo Herself At This Year’s Superbowl Halftime Show?

After last year’s mind blowing National Anthem performance at the Super Bowl, Lady Gaga returns to the stage for the Pepsi Zero Super Bowl LI Halftime Show at NRG Stadium in Houston on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017.  The Halftime show has included legendary performances from some of the best artists in the industry such as U2, Paul McCartney, Prince, the Rolling Stones and Beyonce.

The NFL Superbowl Halftime Show is the most- watched event of the year. Lady Gaga has invited Tony Bennett to join her on the big stage. In 2014, Tony and Gaga dropped a collaborative album  which was an immediate hit for fans of all ages. The 90 year old singer will be one of the oldest individuals to be taking the stage.

For the longest time, there were rumors that Beyonce will be joining the stage with Gaga for the halftime show considering the fact that Houston is the artist’s hometown. However, after announcing through Instagram that her and husband Jay-Z are expecting twins, they should be thinking about Queen B’s safety.

This being said, there are several reports suggesting that Gaga will be performing from the roof at the NRG Stadium. Lady Gaga has wanted to sing at this national event since she was only a young girl. Therefore, fans will be expecting her to outdo herself like she has done countless times before. The roof performance is not the only thing viewers will be holding their breath for. The last time the Super Bowl was held in Houston, Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction shocked people across the nation.

Although the NFL cannot confirm this, it appears as though Adele was approached beforehand to animate the Halftime Show. However, she claims that she is not a good fit for this kind of performance that requires visual stimuli and choreographed dancing.
