Turn To Crime – “Light”

Detroit krautrock trio Turn To Crime’s debut album, Can’t Love, came out just about a year ago, and they kicked off its follow-up, Actions, with “Prince Of Slackers.” Today they’ve debuted “Light,” the second single off the new record, and frontman Derek Stanton (formerly of Awesome Color) maintains lackadaisical phrasing over garage-rock brashness punctuated by sporadic, disconnected electronic additions. Somehow, the eclectic noise coalesces into a jagged, energetic whole. Listen.
