Stream Roman GianArthur’s R&B Radiohead Covers EP OK Lady

Roman GianArthur is a member of Janelle Monáe’s Wondaland Arts Society, the group of Atlanta R&B weirdos that also counts “Classic Man” singer Jidenna among its ranks. We posted a song he did with Of Montreal’s Kevin Barnes five years ago, but more recently he joined his Wondaland compatriots on the protest song “Hell You Talmbout.” GianArthur’s latest trick is OK Lady, an EP of Radiohead covers reimagined as art-damaged R&B. “All I Need,” “Paranoid Android,” “High & Dry,” and “Nude” get the GianArthur treatment, plus Monáe stops by to help out with “No Surprises.” Closing track “SEND:TON,” which transforms “Nude” into something like a sultry D’Angelo song, is my early favorite.
