Shelf Life – “Sinking Just Right” (First Listen)

Earlier this month, we shared “The Curse,” the warm, acoustic album opener from Scotty Leitch’s debut album as Shelf Life, Everyone Make Happy. Leitch is mostly a recording engineer and sideman with recent gigs like drumming for Alex G, but we like him in this new starring role. “Sinking Just Right” rides a sluggish bass line that is guaranteed to make you stop and feel your body slow down, your emotions spreading and multiplying. Sometimes sinking into yourself does feel right; it’s the calm after the storm. Listen below.

Everyone Make Happy is out 9/18 on Lefse. Pre-order it here.
