Mini Mansions – “Vertigo” (Feat. Alex Turner)

Mini Mansions — the Los Angeles trio that counts Queens Of The Stone Ages bassist Michael Shuman among its members — are getting ready to release their sophomore album, The Great Pretenders, and they’ve recruited some top-shelf talent to help them out. Their lead single, “Any Emotions,” featured none other than Brian Wilson, and the follow-up has vocals from Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner. (Turner joined them on stage earlier this year to perform this song.) “Vertigo” is a slick, off-kilter psych-pop track that could easily pass for a Halloween song, all deep voices and foreboding intent with a killer groove. Listen below.

The Great Pretenders is out 3/23 via Capitol Records. “Vertigo” is also available as a 7″ with a b-side featuring vocals from the B-52s Fred Schneider.
