Three months after the release of “Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin,” Kid Cudi finally returns for a performance. It’s on the set of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that he played for the first time a track of his album “Kitchen”.
Ever since his admittance in the psychiatric hospital for depression, Kid Cudi has been rather discreet. As far as we can remember, the Cleveland native has completely disappeared from the media since the release of his album “Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin.” No interviews, no touring, nothing.
Visibly recovered from his recent trials, the Cleveland artist finally decided to go back on stage to promote his latest album. Last night, he offered for the first time a live version for “Kitchen”, one of the album’s flagship titles. Thank you Jimmy Fallon.
For his return on stage to be meaningful, Cudder chose darkness. Stuck behind his sunglasses, the boss of Wicked Awesome remained motionless throughout his performance, completely stoic and almost in complete black. The strength of this live? The presence of musicians whose violins could sublimate the piece. Hoping that this first reappearance of Kid Cudi is the first of a long series.
