Hear Meryl Streep’s Lady Gaga Cover From Ricki And The Flash

Meryl Streep stars as an aging rocker in Jonathan Demme’s new film Ricki And The Flash, which was written by Diablo Cody. As a movie about an aging rocker, Ricki And The Flash is pretty heavy on the music, and Meryl Streep herself actually performs everything that her character performs. She took guitar lessons with Neil Young and rehearsed with co-star Rick Springfield, and the she plays a number of songs in the movie — Tom Petty’s “American Girl,” Bruce Springsteen’s “My Love Will Not Let You Down,” a new song called “Cold One” written specifically for the film by Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice, and Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.” While Streep’s rendition of “Bad Romance” apparently only plays for a few moments in the actual film, the full version appears on the soundtrack, and you can hear it below via Entertainment Weekly.

Ricki And The Flash is in theaters now.
