When Chicago’s drill music came to prominence a few years ago, arcane beefs and gang alignments kept some of the scene’s brightest lights from jumping on songs together. Drill may have faded from the national imagination, but these guys are all still good at rapping. And now, for what I believe is the first time ever, the scene’s five most vital rappers have all jumped on the same song together. Chief Keef’s feral “Faneto” is a late-breaking underground smash. And on the new remix, Chief shares space with fellow Chicago hardheads Lil Bibby, Lil Herb, King Louie, and Lil Durk. All of them go in for upwards of ten minutes, and somehow it never gets boring. Listen to the remix below.
